The DeMarini Voodoo has been one of the best selling aluminum barreled bats throughout its time. Being offered in both a balanced and end loaded version allows players to select one of the two models based on feel. This year, the BBCOR 2019 DeMarini Voodoo Balanced is essentially the same bat as the 2018 model, with different graphics.
This bat review is specifically for the BBCOR DeMarini Voodoo Balanced bat used by high school and college age players.
The Voodoo Balanced is a two piece composite handle, aluminum barreled bat that retails for $299.95 in the BBCOR (-3) version.
Pop and Performance
The pop coming off this bat is excellent. Personally preferring bats with a composite barrel, I was surprised by the feel of the ball coming off the bat.
Balance and Feel
As the case with most high end two piece bats, the Voodoo Balanced has essentially causes no vibration or discomfort. I personally hit near 50 balls with the 33″/30oz. version of this bat and experienced vibration only when making contact near handle. Holding the Balanced and End Loaded version of this bat side by side, players will definitely be able to feel a difference between the two versions.
Bat Tech and Features
3Fusion End Cap – Smoother bat control and even weight distribution.
3Fusion Handle – Absorbs vibration and redirects energy back into the barrel of the bat.
The 2019 BBCOR DeMarini Voodoo Balanced is a must try for players who enjoy the sound and pop of an aluminum bat while not having to experience vibration or stinging in the hands.
