The original 2019 DeMarini CF Zen will go down as one of the hottest USSSA Travel Ball bats made in recent history. Naturally, the big question we have gotten over and over again is: Is the CF Zen Black different than the CF Zen? Or is it just a paint job?
Spoiler: It’s the same bat with a new paint job. And the new paint is only on the barrel. Check out how both bats have the same exact handle color in the picture above.
Not a super exciting answer, but it’s the truth. The good thing is both bats look great. So if you prefer the original paint job, pick one up ASAP because DeMarini will not be releasing any more in the original paint scheme. Both are still (as of posting) selling for $349.
