Well, it’s all over. The META had a good run for 2 years, but now the updated 2021 META BBCOR bat has officially jumped the shark when it comes to being the bat to have. We are EXTREMELY disappointed with the 2021 META BBCOR bat and the META PWR BBCOR.

Design Changed. Performance Gone.

Louisville Slugger changed the makeup of the 2021 META because the 2020 META turned out to be too good to be true. Louisville Slugger got caught and had to make drastic changes to the 2021 META that ultimately make the 2021 META a total dud. Rarely do we ever outright say a bat sucks… but the 2021 META BBCOR simply does not perform well. We saw similar exit speeds and distance when hitting the META side by side with the likes of the Marucci F5 BBCOR, a sub $99 one piece BBCOR bat. We highly recommend the Cat 9 and Cat 9 Connect BBCOR bats for 2021.

How bad is the 2021 META?

Really bad. We put the 2021 META up against the new Cat 9, Cat 9 Connect, Victus Nox, and the Easton ADV and Easton B5 Pro. The 2021 META came in DEAD LAST on the exit speed readings. This was across the board, too. With all of our bat testers. Not to mention the vibration from the META was outrageous.

What is the best BBCOR bat for 2021?

The Victus Nox and the Cat 9 have been absolutely CRUSHING it in sales according to industry insiders. Louisville Slugger should be embarrassed by the performance and feel of the 2021 META. They can and should do better – save your hard-earned cash and check out a Victus Nox or a Cat 9 Connect instead.
