How we score ↗How big and forgiving the barrel is — based on barrel length, construction (one- vs two-piece, alloy vs composite), and how it plays on balls hit off the center. A primary driver of the overall score.
This bat: 12.75-inch X1B one-piece barrel on the RCKLESS platform.
Raw exit velocity and distance. We use measured numbers from freely available independent testing when they exist; otherwise construction and consensus, judged against the certification’s performance ceiling. A primary driver of the overall score.
This bat: Loaded end weight with a high-flex handle whip.
Comfort and feedback on contact — vibration dampening from the knob/connection, the sting of a stiff one-piece vs a smooth two-piece, and the sound off the barrel. A primary driver of the overall score.
This bat: One-piece; high-flex MST softens it.
How well it holds up and how the company stands behind it — documented cracking/denting reports, cold-weather behavior, and the brand’s real warranty record. Good to know, but weighted lightly in the score.
This bat: Marucci one-piece composite with standard warranty.
Our take on price-for-performance — the overall package weighed against its cost and what comparable bats run. Shown for context; it is NOT factored into the overall score (price changes too often and is personal).
This bat: Full price, no discount yet.
Why this score: Scored a few tenths under the 2026 Marucci RCKLESS Cream Loaded 1-Piece (our top USSSA slowpitch bat) pending field feedback on the X1B barrel. No lab data exists for this model.
Our Review
The 2026 Marucci RCKLESS Resmondo 1-Piece Loaded is a signature USSSA slowpitch bat built on Marucci's one-piece composite platform. The 12.75-inch X1B barrel transfers energy directly from handle to barrel with no connection piece, and the Modulated Handle Technology (MST) handle is tuned High Flex — the most flex in the Resmondo line — so it loads and unloads through the swing to add bat speed at contact. Loaded end weighting puts mass out front for power hitters. This is the one-piece sibling of the two-piece Resmondo Loaded (MSPRR2LU) and a signature-graphic cousin of the RCKLESS Cream Loaded one-piece, which has been one of the strongest-received USSSA bats we have covered this year. We are scoring it a step under the Cream until we hear the same kind of field feedback, since Marucci lists the X1B barrel rather than the Cream's DisRupt Mono. It comes in 24 through 27 oz at $299.99, is USSSA certified, and is available at Smash It Sports; it has not appeared at CheapBats yet.
