Our Review

The Icon USSSA -8 is the middle drop in Rawlings' premium travel-ball line, built for the hitter moving up from a -10 who wants more mass behind the ball. It carries the seamless In/Tense Carbon barrel and Zero Loss Collar that make the Icon one of the hottest composites in USSSA, where the 2 3/4-inch barrel and 1.15 BPF standard let the trampoline really show. The slight end-load gives stronger hitters extra barrel mass through the zone, and the sweet spot is large and lively straight out of the wrapper. It is a premium stick at $399.99, and the end-load means it rewards a hitter with the strength and bat speed to use it. The Baseball Bat Bros consistently rank the Icon among the top USSSA composites for pop.
