2027 Easton Ghost Unlimited Era Wild One Fastpitch Bat Review
The Ghost Era Wild One is the 2026 Ghost Unlimited — the best fastpitch bat we've tested — in a limited-edition graphic. Same one-piece Sonic Comp Pro build, same Double Barrel EXT, same $499.99. It launches Oct 22, 2026 as the first bat in Easton's new Ghost Era design series.

Our Review
Easton's Ghost Era is a limited-edition design series, and Wild One is its first release. Easton and its retailers are explicit that the bats get no new or different technology: beneath the graphic is the one-piece composite 2026 Ghost Unlimited, model EFP6GUW10 (-10) and EFP6GUW11 (-11) versus the inline EFP6GHUL10/11. That means you get the full Unlimited package. The patented Double Barrel EXT runs about an inch longer than the standard Ghost Double Barrel, giving the longest barrel and largest hitting area in the Ghost lineup. The barrel is Sonic Comp Pro, Easton's lowest-compression composite, which is where the Unlimited's hot-out-of-the-wrapper pop and the signature Ghost sound come from. The one-piece frame uses the VRS1 internal connection between the inner and outer barrel to take the sting out of mishits, and the Power Boost Soft Knob adds bottom-hand comfort and leverage. Handle is the ultra-thin 29/32" with a 1.8mm Flow-Tack grip. Swing weight is balanced in both drops. Because it is the same bat, our scores carry over from the 2026 Ghost Unlimited, which we rate as the best fastpitch bat available: elite sweet spot and power, the most direct feel in the Ghost family (one-piece, stiffer than the two-piece OG and Advanced), and composite durability that has held up well in its first season. Value takes a small hit versus the inline Unlimited only because a limited run at the same $499.99 rarely gets discounted. Certifications are USA Softball, USSSA fastpitch, NSA, ISA and WBSC, and like the inline Unlimited it carries the NFHS/NCAA approvals for high school and college play. Sizes: -10 in 30/20 through 34/24; -11 in 29/18 through 33/22. Retail release is Oct 22, 2026 at $499.99, with a one-year Easton warranty. Who should buy it: a serious fastpitch hitter who wants the Ghost Unlimited and prefers this look, or a collector. Who should skip it: anyone who already owns a 2026 Unlimited, and anyone who wants the two-piece flex and whip of the Ghost OG or Advanced — pick by platform first, graphic second.
Insider Note
Ghost Era is Easton's new limited-edition graphics program layered onto existing Ghost bats, not a new bat. Wild One is the first drop and sits on the one-piece Ghost Unlimited (EFP6GUW10/11 vs the inline EFP6GHUL10/11). The 2026-generation '6' in the model number is the tell — retailers calling it a 2027 are labeling by sell season. Expect further Ghost Era graphics on the OG and Advanced platforms.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Identical internals to the 2026 Ghost Unlimited: Double Barrel EXT (the longest barrel in the Ghost line), Sonic Comp Pro ultra-low-compression composite, VRS1 Connection and Power Boost Soft Knob
- Dual-stamped for USA Softball and USSSA fastpitch, plus NSA, ISA and WBSC — legal everywhere the standard Unlimited is
- Balanced swing in both -10 (30"–34") and -11 (29"–33") drops
- Limited-edition 'Wild' graphic with no price premium over the inline Ghost Unlimited
Cons
- Same $499.99 as the inline Unlimited and limited quantities, so it is unlikely to see the discounts the standard colorway eventually gets
- Not a new generation — if you already own a 2026 Ghost Unlimited, this is a paint change
- Retailers list it as both '2026' and '2027'; the EFP6 model number confirms the 2026 platform
