2027 Easton Ghost Youth Era Wild One Fastpitch Bat Review
Despite the 'Unlimited' in some retailer titles, this is the entry-level alloy Ghost Youth -11 (EFP6GYW11) wearing the Ghost Era Wild One graphic — a first bat for young fastpitch players that matches big sister's Wild One Unlimited, not a scaled-down composite Ghost.

Our Review
Easton launched its Ghost Era limited-edition graphics program in October 2026, and alongside the Wild One Ghost Unlimited it released a matching youth bat, model EFP6GYW11. Several retailers title it a 'Ghost Unlimited' youth, and JustBats lists it as a 2027, but the construction is the Ghost Youth: a one-piece aluminum -11 with a 2 1/4" barrel, built, in Easton's words, to Ghost Youth specifications as the first youth aluminum offering designed to coordinate with the Ghost Era composite colorways. The adult Wild One Unlimited is $499.99; this is $99.99. The price gap is the construction gap. As a bat, it is what the inline 2026 Ghost Youth is: a light, balanced, durable alloy for beginners in 26/15 through 31/20. Alloy gives it a lively, no-break-in feel and real cold-weather toughness, but the sweet spot is small and the pop is entry-level — a developing hitter will outgrow it within a season or two, which is exactly the lifecycle Easton intends. Our scores carry over from the 2026 Ghost Youth, with value trimmed for the roughly $20 premium over the plain colorway. Buy it if your young player wants the Wild One look and needs a first fastpitch bat. If she is already hitting with authority, skip the youth alloy entirely and look at the Ghost OG in a -11, which is a genuine composite Ghost at a youth-friendly swing weight.
Insider Note
Model EFP6GYW11 — the 'GY' infix is Easton's Ghost Youth alloy line (inline EFP6GHY11), not the 'GU' Unlimited. Easton describes it as the first youth aluminum bat designed to coordinate with the Ghost Era composite colorways. Ignore any listing that implies Unlimited tech at this price.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Light, balanced -11 one-piece alloy in 26"–31" — the right tool for a 7–11 year-old learning to swing
- Matches the adult Ghost Era Wild One graphic, which is the whole point for most buyers
- Alloy is game-ready out of the wrapper and tougher than composite in cold weather
Cons
- Entry-level alloy performance: small sweet spot and modest pop compared with any composite Ghost
- About $20 more than the plain 2026 Ghost Youth for the graphic alone
- Some retailers title it 'Ghost Unlimited' Youth — it shares nothing but the paint with the Unlimited
