Our Review
This is the Gen 2 Hybrid with a puck knob on the end: identical CNC-tuned alloy barrel, identical drop-tuned composite handle and connection, but finished for the hitter who chokes into the knob or wants the counterweighted feel a puck provides, in long 33"–35" cuts. Because the hitting bat is the same, it carries the same score as our Rckless Gen 2 Hybrid review — and that score is no longer a guess. In a June 2026 independent player test (TrackMan and Blast Motion), the standard Hybrid averaged 87.4 mph exit velocity, about 1.2 mph over baseline, with the biggest average distance gain of any 2027 BBCOR tested, and finished as the top-rated 2027 BBCOR in that lab. Testers found it lighter-feeling than a typical end-load even though measured bat speed dipped about 1 mph. Two things specific to the puck version are worth knowing: the puck hasn't been swung separately in any testing we can find, and the 33"–35" lengths mean you're taking on more swing weight than most hitters pick up in the standard model. If you already choke up on a -3 or play a long bat, this is the one; if not, the standard Hybrid is the safer buy.
