Why this score: First-pass score, clearly labeled: no independent exit-velocity data yet for the 2027 edition. Entry 2 1/4" one-piece alloy under the USA standard; scored below the 2 5/8" entry alloys on sweet spot and power. Sub-$175 non-wood ceiling applies.

Our Review

The Glow Mojis comes out of Rawlings' equipment partnership with the Glow Mojis brand, and it's exactly what it looks like: a lightweight one-piece alloy wrapped in glow-motif graphics. Under the fun is a real bat, though a modest one. The barrel is the classic 2 1/4" youth profile with Rawlings' X-Tended sweet spot design, it carries the USA Baseball stamp, and it comes at -10 in 27" through 30" for $69.99. Performance is what a $70 small-barrel alloy delivers: light, quick, durable, with a compact hitting area and little mass behind the ball. Any 2 5/8" alloy at $100 to $150 will outhit it, and a player past their first year of kid pitch should be in one. As a first league bat for a 6-to-8-year-old who is going to be excited about the glow at every practice, it does its job and it will survive to be handed down.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Legitimate USA-stamped league bat under the fun graphics
  • X-Tended barrel design stretches the usable hitting area for a 2 1/4" alloy
  • $69.99 and durable enough to hand down

Cons

  • 2 1/4" barrel is the smallest legal USA profile; 2 5/8" bats offer far more hitting area
  • Entry alloy with little mass behind contact
  • One-piece sting on mishits
