How we score ↗How big and forgiving the barrel is — based on barrel length, construction (one- vs two-piece, alloy vs composite), and how it plays on balls hit off the center. A primary driver of the overall score.
This bat: 12.5" barrel is a touch shorter than the 2-piece but balanced bats hit the middle more often.
Raw exit velocity and distance. We use measured numbers from freely available independent testing when they exist; otherwise construction and consensus, judged against the certification’s performance ceiling. A primary driver of the overall score.
This bat: Balanced one-piece; pop comes from bat speed, not end mass.
Comfort and feedback on contact — vibration dampening from the knob/connection, the sting of a stiff one-piece vs a smooth two-piece, and the sound off the barrel. A primary driver of the overall score.
This bat: Stiff, connected one-piece feedback; some sting on cold mishits.
How well it holds up and how the company stands behind it — documented cracking/denting reports, cold-weather behavior, and the brand’s real warranty record. Good to know, but weighted lightly in the score.
This bat: KCM-6X / X-Core 2 composite with a 1-year warranty.
Our take on price-for-performance — the overall package weighed against its cost and what comparable bats run. Shown for context; it is NOT factored into the overall score (price changes too often and is personal).
This bat: $299.99 is the going rate for a boutique composite; the warranty helps.
Why this score: Scored as a balanced one-piece composite from a boutique brand with a strong recent track record: sweet spot and swing weight grade high, power modestly, matching Anarchy's other 2026 balanced builds. No lab data yet — first-pass scores.
Our Review
The GOAT is Anarchy's late-September 2026 drop, and the 1-Piece Balanced is the contact hitter's version of it. It is a single-piece composite with a 12.5-inch barrel and a balanced weighting, so the mass sits closer to the hands and the bat gets through the zone quickly. Anarchy builds it in two certifications: the USSSA model (ASPGOATB26U, 25–27 oz) uses the KCM-6X barrel, and the USA/ASA model (ASPGOATB26A, 25–26 oz) uses the X-Core 2 barrel tuned for the lower ASA compression standard. Both carry a one-year manufacturer warranty, which is a meaningful plus at this end of the market where many limited drops come with none. As a one-piece, the GOAT Balanced trades a little forgiveness for a direct, connected feel at contact — you know exactly where you hit it. Hitters who already have good bat speed and want a bat that swings light and controllable, rather than one that swings for them, are the audience here. Power hitters who want help from the end cap should look at the GOAT 2-Piece End Loaded instead, which adds a half-inch of barrel and a .75 oz end load. No independent lab has measured the GOAT yet, so our scores lean on Anarchy's recent balanced one-piece builds and its stated barrel tech; we'll update when data exists.
