Why this score: The X868 barrel and XL end load drive power and a wide sweet spot. Swing weight reflects the end load, feel is good on the two-piece despite the stiff handle, durability is solid, and value is strong with four weight options at the sale price.

Our Review

The Bedlam XL is the most weight-versatile bat in Worth's 2026 Josh Riley signature lineup, offered in 25, 26, 27, and 28 oz so a wide range of hitters can find their fit. The 12.5-inch X868 barrel is engineered to flex more at the wall to widen the effective sweet spot, and it gives more contact surface than the more compact XXL Bedlam. The XL.5 oz end load is the in-between option: enough momentum to drive the ball deep without the full commitment of a 1 oz load, so timing stays manageable. The S-FLEX stiff handle keeps the connection between hands and barrel tight, translating a fast swing into fast ball speed rather than letting energy bleed into handle flex, while the two-piece build still reduces sting on off-center hits. Approved for USSSA, ISA, and NSA, it plays hot out of the wrapper and peaks after a short break-in.

Pros & Cons

  • X868 barrel widens the effective sweet spot
  • Stiff S-FLEX handle gives direct power transfer

Cons

  • Stiff handle plus end load suits power hitters more than contact hitters
  • 12.5-inch barrel is shorter than a full 13.5-inch profile
