The Spryte is DeMarini's developmental fastpitch bat for 2027: a -12, two-piece composite pairing the Paradox barrel with a D-Lite handle and Big D end cap, sized 28" through 33". The whole design brief is swing speed — let a young player get the barrel through the zone on time and build a real swing path before graduating to a -10. That's a sensible brief and the composite build delivers a softer feel than the alloy bats most players start on. At $249.95 it sits in the awkward middle: twice the price of entry alloys, without the flagship barrel of the bats it feeds into.
