2027 DeMarini The Goods BBCOR Bat Review

Coming soon — not yet rated
Honest review Best-price finder Insider intel

A true power hitter's BBCOR — a heavy, end-loaded X14 alloy barrel on a composite handle, now with a new Damplify knob and Tremor end cap. It hits big; DeMarini's durability and warranty record are the catch.

Our Review

The Goods remains one of the loudest, most end-loaded sticks in BBCOR, and the 2027 keeps the formula: a massive X14 alloy barrel paired with a 1375 composite handle in DeMarini's Half + Half build, now updated with a Damplify knob and a Tremor end cap to manage vibration and barrel speed. For a strong, fast-handed hitter who keeps the head through the zone, the power is legitimately top-tier. The hesitation is not the performance — it is longevity and support: The Goods has a long reputation for cracked barrels and loosened connections, and DeMarini's warranty service is a one-year limited program rather than anything generous. A hitter who wants the same end-loaded power with fewer durability worries is usually better served elsewhere.

Also worth a look: Marucci CATX RCKLESS Hybrid — the same end-loaded hybrid power with a stronger durability and warranty record.

Insider Note

From the floor: The Goods rewards bat speed. If a hitter can't keep the head through the zone, the end-load works against them, and the breakage reports make us steer borderline cases to a more durable end-loaded option.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Serious end-load and X14 alloy barrel for top-tier power
  • Half + Half hybrid build dampens the handle while keeping a stiff barrel
  • New Damplify knob and Tremor end cap aim to cut sting and hold barrel speed

Cons

  • End-load is too much for contact and speed hitters
  • Punishing on mishits and unforgiving of slow bat speed
