Our Review
The Atlas 2.0 is the first real redesign in the Atlas line's run, released August 26, 2026. The spec sheet leans on computation: the EVX Alloy Tech barrel's wall thicknesses were tuned through expanded simulation work, and Slugger claims the largest sweet spot an Atlas has carried. A Tuned Mass Damper in the handle addresses the sting one-piece alloys earn, and the XPND end cap trims swing weight to keep the profile balanced. Sizing is generous, running 29" to 34" including two half sizes. Unlike most bats this new, there's already real independent hitting data. Independent reviewers ran a dedicated session against the 2026 Atlas and the Rawlings Icon one-piece: the 2.0 was a full step better than the outgoing Atlas — deeper sound, far less hand vibration, and repeated 105–108 mph exit velocities with a 113 mph peak on harder balls — and they came away calling it a "light Combat," with more usable sweet spot than the Icon. In a later blind test of ten flagship BBCORs it finished third behind only the two Combat models, and it now sits #2 on their overall BBCOR rankings. Independent reviewers elsewhere report the same 107–109 mph range and the same forgiveness off-center. That's why the performance categories score where they do. What no one can confirm yet is durability: the original Atlas drew documented complaints of premature denting and barrels cracking, and this brand's warranty turnaround has been a recurring sore point.
