Our Review
The Ombre keeps it simple and gets the important part right for a $70 fastpitch bat: one-piece aluminum whose X-Tended barrel design makes the usable hitting area longer than the standard alloy at this price. It's -11 in 26" through 30", carries every certification a league can ask for (USA Softball, USSSA fastpitch, NSA, ISA, WBSC), and it's ready the first time it comes out of the bag in any weather. It is squarely a developing player's bat. The barrel is stiff and the ball doesn't jump off it the way it does off a composite; mishits sting. Where it wins is durability and price, and for a 8U–10U rec player it's a sensible first bat that will still be intact when she outgrows it. The fade paint is a bonus.
