2020 Easton ADV 360 USA Baseball Bat Review
The ADV 360 was Easton's premium two-piece composite USA flagship, with a huge sweet spot and a light, balanced swing. Now a closeout, the original-year model is a far easier buy than it was at $350.
There's a newer version available. See the 2023 ADV 360 — the current model → 9.0/10The Score
How we score ↗How big and forgiving the barrel is — based on barrel length, construction (one- vs two-piece, alloy vs composite), and how it plays on balls hit off the center. A primary driver of the overall score.
Raw exit velocity and distance. We use measured numbers from freely available independent testing when they exist; otherwise construction and consensus, judged against the certification’s performance ceiling. A primary driver of the overall score.
Comfort and feedback on contact — vibration dampening from the knob/connection, the sting of a stiff one-piece vs a smooth two-piece, and the sound off the barrel. A primary driver of the overall score.
How well it holds up and how the company stands behind it — documented cracking/denting reports, cold-weather behavior, and the brand’s real warranty record. Good to know, but weighted lightly in the score.
Our take on price-for-performance — the overall package weighed against its cost and what comparable bats run. Shown for context; it is NOT factored into the overall score (price changes too often and is personal).
Why this score: Sweet spot, feel and a light balanced swing are top-of-class and score highest. Durability is rated cautiously as a premium youth composite. Value climbs to a strong mark now that the bat sells as a closeout well under its original MSRP.
Our Review
The 2020 ADV 360 is the first model year of Easton's flagship USA composite, a two-piece all-composite build using Launch Composite Technology and the iSo CXN connection with Nitrocell foam to kill vibration. The result is the kind of hot-out-of-the-wrapper barrel and enormous, forgiving sweet spot that made the ADV line a travel-ball favorite, paired with the speed-cap end and a light, balanced -11 swing that smaller hitters can whip through the zone. The honest caveat is the same one that follows premium youth composites: the barrel needs a little break-in to reach peak pop, and high-end composite USA bats have a mixed long-term durability record. At its original $349.95 it was a steep ask, but as a closeout it becomes a genuinely strong value for a younger hitter who wants a light, big-barrel composite.
