Our Review
The Cosmic Chili Peppers is the best of Easton's 2027 fun-graphics bats because it doesn't cut the corner that matters. Under the light-up-the-night paint is an ALX100 alloy barrel, the higher-grade aluminum Easton uses in its mid-tier bats, in the 2 5/8" profile Little League requires, with a concave end cap and a 1.8mm Flex grip. It comes in two drops: the -11 in 27" through 31" for the player still building a swing, and the -8 in 30" through 32" for the strong 11-12U hitter who wants more mass. Both are one-piece alloy, which is the smart call under the USA standard: no break-in, no cold-weather worry, an immediate response. The limits are those of every one-piece alloy at this price. The sweet spot is compact, mishits sting, and the barrel response trails the $250-plus two-piece composites. But for a rec-league player who wants a bat they're excited to carry and a parent who wants it to last two seasons, this is the better buy than the ALX50 Soda Slammers for $20 more.
