Our Review

The 2022 Eclipse is a one-piece aerospace-grade aluminum alloy bat aimed squarely at beginning and youth fastpitch players. The ultralight -12 drop and balanced swing make it very easy to control, and an X-Tended sweet spot helps young hitters square the ball up and drive it to the gaps. There is no break-in, no durability worry typical of composite, and it is one of the most affordable fastpitch bats on the market, frequently selling for well under fifty dollars. It will not match the pop or sweet-spot size of a premium composite, and dedicated travel or high school hitters will quickly outgrow it, but as a first real bat for a new player it does its job well and at a price that is hard to argue with.

Also worth a look: Easton Ghost Unlimited — our top fastpitch pick when the player is ready to step up.
