Why this score: The class-leading 13.5-inch barrel and balanced load drive top marks for sweet spot and swing weight. Power trails loaded models, and the older compression standard keeps the overall in check.

Our Review

The 2023 Resmondo Balanced is the contact-hitter counterpart to Easton's loaded Resmondo bombers. It pairs Easton's Fire Flex composite barrel with a two-piece ConneXion+ build, and the standout spec is the 13.5-inch barrel, which is among the longest in slowpitch and creates a genuinely huge hitting surface. The balanced swing weight keeps the mass evenly distributed, so the bat stays quick and easy to control for hitters who live on line drives and gap-to-gap contact rather than max-distance bombs. Fire Flex is hot out of the wrapper and the two-piece design takes the sting out of off-center hits, which is a real plus for high-volume swingers. The trade-off is power: without an end load, this bat won't carry like a loaded 12.5-inch model for big swingers. It's also a 2023-generation bat on the older compression standard, so verify your association's current rules before buying for sanctioned play. For a balanced contact hitter, though, the long barrel and clean feel make it a strong, value-friendly pickup on closeout.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Long 13.5-inch barrel offers one of the biggest sweet spots in the class
  • Balanced swing weight keeps the bat quick through the zone
  • Two-piece Fire Flex build dampens sting for a clean feel

Cons

  • Balanced load gives up distance to end-loaded power bats
  • Carries the older 1.20 BPF/220 standard rather than the newer 240 NTS spec
