Our Review
The Hype Fire replaced the ADV Hype as Easton's top travel-ball bat, and it quickly became one of the most-swung composites in USSSA play. The barrel uses a redesigned Thermo Composite Technology layup that widens the sweet spot and lowers compression for harder, more consistent contact, and the two-piece ConneXion Max connection moves energy efficiently while keeping the hands quiet. Easton also tunes the Opti-Flex handle to the exact length and drop of each model, so the -10 swings light and balanced and gets through the zone in a hurry. The trade-offs are familiar to composite buyers: it costs more than an alloy bat and wants a little break-in to reach full pop. But for a travel hitter who wants a forgiving, fast, hot bat, the Hype Fire is a benchmark, and as a discounted past-year flagship it is an easy recommendation.
