Why this score: Power and durability lead thanks to the loaded one-piece HDK23 build and 240 NTS certification. The shorter 12.5-inch barrel and heavy end load drag down swing-weight and sweet-spot scores for anyone but dedicated power hitters.

Our Review

Easton's Resmondo line carries the name of slowpitch legend Greg Connell's longtime rival camp, and the 2024 loaded model is squarely a power hitter's tool. It uses a one-piece, 100% HDK23 carbon-fiber layup with Easton's 232 Technology, a plural-resin barrel system that aims for variable compression across the hitting zone. The 12.5-inch barrel runs shorter than many 13-13.5-inch slowpitch bats, which trades some sweet-spot length for a stiffer, more controlled feel that loaded hitters tend to prefer. The loaded swing weight pushes mass toward the end cap, rewarding hitters who can keep their bat speed up through contact. The Flex 120 handle and one-piece build deliver direct, stiff feedback rather than the dampened feel of a two-piece. Importantly, this generation is certified to the new 240 USSSA NTS standard alongside NSA and ISA, so it should stay legal as associations tighten compression testing. As a composite, it benefits from a short break-in before reaching peak pop.
