Why this score: As an entry-level bat the Reflex grades highest on swing weight and value: it is very light, durable, and affordable, which is exactly what a young first-time hitter needs. Sweet spot and power are modest by design with the small barrel and very light build, appropriate for its purpose rather than for older players.

Our Review

The 2025 Easton Reflex is the brand's value-priced first real bat for young USA-league hitters. It is a one-piece ALX100 alloy build with a concave end cap and a 2 1/2-inch barrel, sized and weighted for small players who need a bat they can actually swing. The -12 drop keeps the weight very low so a young hitter can get the barrel through the zone and learn to make contact, and the perforated 2.2mm flex grip adds a little comfort and helps damp vibration on mishits. As an alloy bat it needs no break-in and holds up well to driveway and practice use. This is not a performance bat for older travel players, and the smaller barrel and very light swing reflect that, but for its intended job, an affordable, durable, easy-to-swing first bat, the Reflex does exactly what it should.
