Our Review

The 2025 Tantrum Two-Piece Loaded refines Easton's well-rounded slowpitch platform. Easton lists it with G4S G4orce barrel technology, a 13-inch barrel, a half-ounce loaded optimized player weighting, a Flex 190 handle and the CXN Max ConneXion joint, with a Power Boost soft knob for the bottom hand. The G4orce barrel uses a triple-region flex and plural-resin system to widen the sweet spot, and Easton says it produces pop out of the wrapper. The combination of the stiffer Flex 190 handle and a moderate half-ounce load gives this bat a power-leaning but still controllable character — the handle loads like a whip for strong hitters while the two-piece connection keeps mishit sting down. It's a sensible all-around configuration that suits hitters who want some carry without committing to a full end load. As a composite it rewards a short break-in. At its everyday price near $280 it's a fair value for a current-generation, two-piece slowpitch bat from a major brand.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • 13-inch G4S G4orce barrel delivers a big, hot sweet spot out of the wrapper
  • Flex 190 handle whips for added power on stronger swings
  • CXN Max two-piece connection eliminates handle vibration

Cons

  • Half-ounce load is a middle-ground profile rather than a true power load
  • One-year composite still needs a short break-in for peak pop
