Our Review
The Soda Slammers line exists to make a kid grin in the on-deck circle, and it does. Two flavors, Crushin' Cotton Candy (EUS7SSC10) and Walk-Off Watermelon (EUS7SSW10), share the same bat underneath: a one-piece ALX50 alloy in the 2 5/8" USA profile, with a concave end cap and a 2.2mm Flex grip, at -10 in seven lengths from 26" to 32". That size range is the practical selling point; a first-year kid-pitch player and a 12U hitter can both find their length. Performance is entry-alloy performance. Under the USA standard the barrel is stiff, the sweet spot is compact, and the ALX50 alloy is a step below the ALX100 in Easton's Cosmic Chili Peppers, which is the graphics bat we'd steer toward for a strong hitter. Durability is the strong suit; one-piece aluminum survives a season of being dropped on the plate. Value is fair but not exceptional, since about $30 of the price is the paint job. We treat the two flavors as one model with two editions.
